Decolonial Interaction Designer,
Technology Consultant & Passionate Nerd

Designer and technology consultant working in interaction design and community-led digital tools. My work draws on Indigenous kinship systems to explore how technology can support collaboration, cultural expression, and shared governance. I’m interested in building tools that are shaped by the communities that use them, with a focus on project-based learning, accessibility, and long-term sustainability.

I am a proud member of Kitchenuhmaykoosib Inninuwug First Nation currently living in Victoria, BC.

Awards & Accolades

The recognition I’ve received for work on Waniskâw has supported new collaborations and mentorship opportunities, contributing to my development as a designer and project lead.

Waniskâw Foundation

Founder

Waniskâw is a project-based creative coding and digital art platform for Indigenous teens and young adults. Originally developed as my capstone project at Emily Carr University, the platform has grown through collaboration with educators, artists, and community partners. Waniskâw supports peer learning and experimentation through tools that allow users to design, program, and share interactive artworks. Framed as technology for cultural expression and self-determination, the platform is currently in beta, with both its coding and art tools live and evolving.

Ḵulus

Interaction Designer

At Ḵulus, I design community-led health technology that supports Indigenous self-determination in wellness. I work with a small multidisciplinary team, including collaborators with experience at Apple, to build tools that help communities support one another in managing diabetes. Together we’ve created both mobile and web apps entirely from the ground up, driven by collaboration, curiosity, and care.

Emily Carr University

Sessional Instructor

As a sessional instructor at Emily Carr, I taught Designing for Screens, a second-year course exploring digital product design and interactive systems. My students learned the fundamentals of UI and UX design, accessibility, and responsive design while creating hands-on projects in Figma, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
